Sewing Training
In 2016, members of the CFA team taught sewing skills to the Prison Fellowship staff and halfway house residents, as well as some of the rural church community members. In a country where beautiful fabric is prevalent, sewing skills can become the beginnings of a small business for many people. We hope to continue expanding our sewing projects in the future, so please pray for direction as we seek opportunities in this area. Click on the right and left arrows to move through the slideshow.
When the CFA team visited Prison Fellowship Malawi in 2016, we focused on various training opportunities. One of these projects was to teach basic sewing skills to the halfway house residents, some of the PF staff, as well as a few local community members.
The sewers first learned how to use the treadle sewing machines and then practiced basic skills until they reached the point when they could make their own drawstring bag.
